Basic Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrive to Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,350m), the gateway to the Everest Base Camp trekking adventure in Nepal. Transfer to your hotel and rest after your international flight. This day is ideal for jet lag recovery, Nepal visa processing, currency exchange, and pre-trek briefing. Kathmandu is rich in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, making it perfect for a short cultural introduction before your Himalayan journey.

Day 02 :
Kathmandu Sightseeing and Preparation

Explore Kathmandu Valley with visits to famous heritage sites like temples and stupas. This day helps with final Everest Base Camp trek preparation, gear check, and permit arrangements (TIMS card and Sagarmatha National Park permit). You can also shop for last-minute trekking equipment in Kathmandu’s Thamel area, known for affordable trekking gear. Proper preparation ensures a safe high-altitude trekking experience.

Day 03 :
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla; trek to Phakding

Take a thrilling 30–40 minute flight to Lukla (2,840m), one of the world’s most exciting mountain airports. Begin your trek to Phakding (2,610m), walking through lush forests, suspension bridges, and Sherpa villages. This is an easy trekking day (3–4 hours) to help your body adjust to altitude.

Day 04 :
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Trek 5–6 hours to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), the main trading hub of the Khumbu region. The trail passes through Sagarmatha National Park, pine forests, and iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge. The final climb is steep but rewarding with first views of Mount Everest on clear days.

Day 05 :
Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar

This is a crucial acclimatization day to prevent acute mountain sickness (AMS). Take short hikes to Everest View Hotel or nearby villages for better altitude adaptation. Namche offers cafes, bakeries, and mountain views, making it one of the best acclimatization stops on the Everest trek.

Day 06 :
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche; visit Tengboche Monastery

Trek 4–5 hours to Tengboche (3,860m), famous for panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. Visit the iconic Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the region, offering a spiritual Himalayan experience surrounded by mountains.

Day 07 :
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Day 08 :
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Day 09 :
Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp; return to Gorak Shep

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), the highlight of the journey. Walk alongside the Khumbu Glacier and reach the base of the world’s highest mountain. After enjoying the achievement, return to Gorak Shep (5,164m) for overnight stay. This day is physically demanding but extremely rewarding.

Day 10 :
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar; trek to Pheriche

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m), the best viewpoint for sunrise over Mount Everest. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Nuptse, and Pumori. Descend to Pheriche (4,280m), where oxygen levels improve, making it easier to rest and recover.

Day 11 :
Trek from Pheriche to Lukla

Begin your return journey with a long trek back to Lukla. The trail passes through Namche Bazaar, forests, and suspension bridges, offering a final chance to enjoy the Himalayan landscape. Trekking downhill is easier but still requires stamina (6–8 hours).

Day 12 :
Fly from Lukla To Kathmandu

Take a scenic morning flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoy aerial views of the Himalayas and relax after completing the Everest Base Camp trekking adventure. The rest of the day is free for shopping or leisure.

Day 13 :
Departure from Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport for your final departure. This marks the end of your Everest Base Camp trek itinerary, one of the most iconic trekking experiences in the world. You leave Nepal with unforgettable memories of mountains, culture, and adventure.
